Sophie Turner wants her children to return to England, but Joe Jonas will not release their children’s passports so she filed a lawsuit against him as a result. According to Sophie, their children are being illegally kept in NYC since September 20th. The kids were supposed to remain with Jonas and his extended family until Turner completed shooting, at which point she was supposed to fly to New York and bring the kids back to the U.K., according to the petition. However, things changed once Joe filed for divorce from Sophie earlier this month. The petition stated, “That Jonas’ refusal is a breach of the Mother’s rights of custody under English law, England being the children’s habitual residence.”
A rep for Jonas said, “His only concern is the well-being of his children.” The statement continued, “Less than 24 hours later, Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida Court order.” It added, “The children were not abducted. Sophie is making this claim only to move the divorce proceedings to the U.K. and to remove the children from the U.S. permanently.”
