The Carolina Panthers secured a 9-7 upset victory over the Atlanta Falcons in a rain-soaked game at Bank of America Stadium.
Eddy Piñeiro kicked a 23-yard field goal as time expired to give the Panthers their second win of the season.
Piñeiro was the only player to score in the game.
The Panthers’ final drive covered 90 yards and was set up by an interception thrown by the Falcons’ Desmond Ridder.
Carolina’s last win was on Halloween weekend when they defeated the Houston Texans.
The Panthers will now host the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Eve with a 1pm kick off at Bank Of America Stadium.
