Add another trophy to Ed Sheeran’s mantle. This time it’s an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for his song “A Beautiful Game” from the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso.
This is Sheeran’s first Emmy nomination and he was not present to receive the award.
Ted Lasso also won the prize for best guest actor in a comedy series for Sam Richardson. The show has received a total of 61 nominations and 13 wins, making it a favorite among Emmy voters.
The Creative Arts Emmys will continue for two days before the Primetime Emmys air on January 15. The 75th Emmy Awards will air live on FOX. Monday, January 15 at 8:00 PM ET.
