Taylor Swift has sent a cease and desist letter to a University of Central Florida student who tracks the movements of her private jets.
The student, Jack Sweeney, uses publicly available data from the Federal Aviation Administration to follow various jets and helicopters belonging to the rich and famous.
Swift’s lawyers claim that she lives in a “constant state of fear” for her personal safety and that Sweeney’s actions are “reckless.”
However, Sweeney argues that he is simply sharing public information and has no intention of causing harm.
He is being represented by a lawyer who specializes in free speech issues.
