Costco is teaming up with Sesame (https://sesamecare.com) to offer a weight-loss program that includes access to GLP-1 prescription drugs.

GLP-1 agonists are medications that help lower blood sugar levels and promote weight loss.

The service, priced at $179 for three months, provides consultations with clinicians and personalized treatment plans.

Sesame’s CEO highlighted the innovation in medically-supervised weight loss and the affordability of their model.

This partnership follows Sesame’s previous collaboration with Costco for virtual primary care services.

The move reflects a trend among retailers like Amazon and Walmart to offer healthcare services to customers.

A fourth Costco is coming to the Charlotte area with a new warehouse planned in Indian Land, SC.
