Meet our Furry Friday Friends of the week!

Both of these dogs available through Animal Care & Control in Charlotte.

Rocky A1236426 is a sweet, playful, 2 year old 56 lb silly wire-haired pup who’s ready to be your best friend! He loves learning and would thrive in a home that can challenge his big, goofy brain. Rocky adores playing with toys and even has a quirky habit of tossing veggies around the house! While he sometimes needs a reminder to take naps, he willingly goes into his crate on command and falls asleep quickly.

Rocky is currently fearful of other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home. However, he’s making great progress with the help of his foster and a professional trainer. To ensure a smooth transition, his foster mom and trainer are offering to transfer any remaining training sessions to his new family! Meet the fluffy, mustached Rocky today!

A1215843 Kirby. 2 years old. 46 lbs. neutered. Very fun guy. Treat motivated. Loves car rides. Loves to play with dogs his size! He does really well with female dogs. No resource guarding. Would probably do well with a neutered dog his size. He really does love to jump so maybe kids older than 14. Loves affection and having people around. Loves peanut butter, Kongs!

As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….three days to decompress, three weeks to learn your routine, three months to feel safe and part of your home. Give them time and patience. SLOW INTROS are always recommended for any new dog entering a new home.
