Buying a home in Charlotte is becoming more and more difficult with corporate investors jumping into the market. In a recent 60 Minutes segment, Charlotte was mentioned several times as one of the hottest real estate markets in the nation. While it’s not illegal for corporate investors to buy the available homes, it has become an issue of morality, as the so-called “little man” gets squeezed out of the opportunity to buy a home. Many of the homes being purchased by corporations are being converted into lucrative rental properties to take advantage of the rising rental rates in the Queen City.
