Kathy Griffin has been suspended from Twitter for mocking Elon Musk.
The suspension comes after Griffin changed her Twitter page title to “Elon Musk” in violation of the site’s new policy prohibiting users from impersonating others without using a “parody” tag.
Tweeting as Musk, Griffin urged people to vote for Democrats in the midterm elections to protect abortion access.
Musk, who took control of the company last month, outlined the new policy in a series of tweets saying “Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended.”
Kathy returned to Twitter tweeting #FreeKathy from her deceased mother’s Twitter account after being suspended.
