Twitter CEO Elon Musk is asking for the country’s opinion.
Musk launched a poll on the social media platform on Sunday asking users whether he should step down as head of the company, adding that he will abide by the poll results.
“Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll,” Musk wrote.
More than 16 million users participated in the poll, with 57.5% voting in favor of him stepping down which concluded Monday morning at 6:20 a.m. ET.
42.5% believe he should remain Twitter’s chief executive.
