The Super Mario Bros. Movie opened this week and it’s a feel-good family movie! I
t’s already setting records around the globe. The movie has set a first-day box office record for an animated feature in multiple countries including Germany, Spain, Italy, and the UK. It’s also the biggest movie opening in China since the start of the pandemic. The movie is expected to pull more than $225 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
Why is The Super Mario Bros. Movie such a hit? Does it prove they should have made this movie years ago?
