Maren Morris may start another controversy with Jason Aldean over his song, “Try That In A Small Town.”
Morris teased a new music video with a photo of herself next to a small-scale Claymation town featuring a billboard that says, “Welcome to Our Perfect Small Town From Sunrise to Sundown.”
‘The Humble Quest’ singer said on Instagram, “I’m done filling a cup with a hole in the bottom.” Aldean’s video for “Try That In A Small Town” featured the singer in front of a church draped with an American flag.
The video shows flag burning, protests, and a convenience store robbery. Aldean denies “pro-lynching” allegations filmed at a Tennessee courthouse where a 1933 lynching occurred. Brandi Carlile commented on Morris’ Instagram post, “Oh, it is ON” [fire emoji].
