The support for breast cancer is 365 days but all month long we’re Shining a Light On Pink. This week we highlight Charmaine from the Charlotte area living with Stage 4 breast cancer. Charmaine shares her passion for helping women every day diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Charlotte.
Charmaine’s Story:
I’m Charmaine, a 3-time Metastatic Breast Cancer Survivor/Thriver, who was diagnosed back in 2013 as a young survivor, had a reoccurrence in 2016 and in 2021 with no history on either side of my family.
To the grace of God, I’m still Thriving and Surviving with no evidence of disease in my body. I currently work for a non-profit organization called Carolina Breast Friends as the Operations Manager where I/we serve the breast cancer community in a positive, supportive and loving community. I myself walked through these doors 10 years ago and here I am still to encourage those who are newly diagnosed, going through treatment and who have survived
