Bobby Knight, legendary Indiana Hoosiers coach, has died at age 83.
Knight died in Bloomington, according to the website that represents Knight and his foundation, bobknight.com. Indiana University later confirmed Knight’s death, announcing his passing ahead of the Indiana women’s exhibition game Wednesday at Assembly Hall. He was 83.
Knight coached at Indiana from 1971-2000. The often controversial coach was known for his strict coaching style and his fiery temper.
