Several local school boards meet this week to discuss COVID-19 protocols for back-to-school. NC Governor Roy Cooper is encouraging elementary and middle school teachers and children to wear masks indoors. High school students are also encouraged to wear masks if a student or teacher has not been fully vaccinated. The largest school district, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, will meet Friday morning, July 30th at 9am to discuss mask requirements. The CMS school board meeting will be shown on thier Facebook and Youtube pages. Several other school districts have already made their decision regarding mask requirements with many making face masks optional. More information to come.
