It’s the first full week of December and the countdown to Christmas is on so I’m here encouraging you to grab your Santa hat and make your way to any number Christmas-themed adult establishments.

Last week I told you about all the festive light displays and skating rinks around the area… Head on over here to read more.

Well, here’s some adult only options…

In optimist hall, Billy Sunday has transformed into a holiday pop-up called Tinseltown. It’s open Monday-Thursday 5pm-10pm with different hours on the weekends.

This pop-up is first come, first serve and will operate until December 31st. No reservations are available, but they will offer a waitlist.

As if the idea isn’t enticing enough how about this (and it’s just ONE of their Christmas cocktail concoctions) – Kidnap Sandy Paws which is Vodka, Amaretto, Vanilla, Milk, Frosting and Sprinkles.

Right around the corner and just up N. Davidson St. is the all dolled up version of Rosie’s Coffee & Wine Garden.

The garden got a festive makeover and they can’t wait to share all the magic. It’s beginning to look a lot like a winter wonderland and they’re excited for you to join them in celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

Their lit-up garden is my everything.

Here’s one I’ll be taking myself to… Winter in the Queen’s Market at the J.W. Marriott where the Aura Rooftop will have real snow, holiday decorations and menu items like the boozed-up hot chocoloate large enough to share with four people.

Keep your calendar open for this one because it goes all the way to the end of February.

While these pop-ups and holiday transformations will run through at least the holidays, here’s a couple things to check out that are specific to this week:

Whiskey Cocktail Tasting at Dilworth Tasting Room in Dilworth / South End. Head to here on Wednesday, December 6th at 6:30pm. The $75 ticket gets you three perfectly custom-curated whiskey drinks and a flatbread. Tickets can be found here.

Fourth Ward Holiday Sip and Stroll. For $30-60 you can stroll through Historic Fourth Ward decorated for the holidays with a self-guided, porch-crawl-style tour. Expect food and cocktail tastings, seasonal live music, and Ride Charlotte golf cart rides. The tour will run 5-9pm Friday and Saturday.

A couple of sports things:

Friday, December 8th has the Hornets at home to the Raptors with tip time at 7pm. Ticketmaster has tix as low as $15.

Despite the new coach, the Panthers possess just the one win losing another at Tampa Bay. They’re on the road again this Sunday, December 10th to another division rival in a 1pm game in New Orleans as they face the backsliding Saints.

Maybe Sunday would be a good day to sip some spiked coffee or hot cocoa and walk around nowhere near a tv instead.

Enjoy the week, everyone.
