The Carolina Panthers have announced that they will hold their training camp at their Charlotte-based facility next summer, rather than at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where they have traditionally trained.
The decision was made to accommodate the team’s need for additional practice fields and to allow for better field management.
The Panthers will remove their practice bubble after the regular season to make room for the new fields.
The team is still working on logistics to determine if fans will be able to attend training camp.
Jerry Richardson, the original owner of the Panthers, was a graduate of Wofford College.
