Actor Andre Braugher has died after battling a brief illness. He was 61 years old.
Braugher played multiple TV roles during his career on shows such as Homicide: Life on the Street and Brooklyn Nine-Nine where he played the role of police captain Ray Holt.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine ran on Fox-NBC from 2013-2021 and was produced by comedian Andy Samberg.
He’s also remembered for his role in the 1989 film Glory.
Andre was nominated for 11 award nominations during his career and won two Emmys.
He was married to Ami Brabson and shared three children.
