Country Musician Jelly Roll Testifies To Senate Hearing On Stopping The Flow Of Fentanyl

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, testified before Congress on Thursday, urging lawmakers to pass an anti-fentanyl trafficking bill.

DeFord, who has personal experience with addiction, spoke about the devastating impact of fentanyl on American lives and called for more support for people struggling with addiction.

He advocated for the passage of the FEND Off Fentanyl Act, which aims to target the illicit fentanyl supply chain from China and Mexico.

DeFord shared his own personal toll of fentanyl addiction, revealing that the mother of his daughter struggles with drug addiction.

He urged Congress to take proactive action to address the fentanyl crisis.
