The Charlotte Hornets and Spectrum Center in Uptown Charlotte have unveiled plans for a $215m renovation of the arena.

The project, which will take place over the next two NBA off-seasons, will include the replacement of all lower bowl seats and the addition of 2,500 new seats.

Other upgrades will include renovations to the Dr. Pepper Pavilion and the Nest fan section, as well as improvements to the main concourse and the addition of four themed destinations.

The renovation will also include new food and beverage options, upgraded clubs, and back-of-the-house changes such as updated dressing and locker rooms.
