Celine Dion’s battle with stiff-person syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease, will be documented in a new documentary called “I Am: Celine Dion,” which will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

The film follows Dion for over a year, capturing her private life and the challenges she faces in continuing to perform for her fans.

“During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis,” Celine said.

Stiff-person syndrome causes muscle stiffness and spasms, limiting mobility and causing other symptoms such as double vision and slurred speech.

Dion hopes that the documentary will raise awareness of the little-known condition and help others who share the diagnosis.
