Three North Carolina cities, including Concord, were ranked among the safest and cheapest metros in the South to live in by GoBankingRates.
The study is based on the cost of living and the rates of property crime and violent crime.
Raleigh and Cary, a suburb of Raleigh, also made the list.
Concord, ranked No.8 on the list, offers numerous amenities, making it an attractive place to live.
Concord is also known as the heart of NASCAR country and the home of the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
