Britney Spears got her first ticket since being released from her conservatorship. California Highway Patrol cited Spears for “unsafe speed for conditions.”
TODAY obtained court documents that reveal Spears received the citation on March 10. The records do not detail where she was driving, the conditions or at what speed.
Spears is scheduled to appear in court for the traffic citation on May 3, 2022. Her lawyer did not immediately respond to TODAY’s request for comment.
Under the conservatorship, Britney was not able to drive on her own or driven by her boyfriend, Sam Ashgari.
When she was released from the conservatorship on November 12, 2021, she posted on social media, “All I want is to own my money for this and my boyfriend to drive me in his f—ing car.”
