Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are officially calling it quits.
After rumors started swirling back in March, it is now confirmed the performing sensation and the former Major League Baseball player are breaking up. Lopez and Rodriguez had been dating since 2017.
The couple revealed the news in an exclusive statement to TODAY.
Rodriguez proposed in the Bahamas in March 2019 after two years of dating. The two said they will focus on remaining friends.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” Lopez told TODAY. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
This week Lopez shared a series of selfies on her Instagram page and her engagement ring was missing.
