Are you ready to get struck in the Charlotte nostalgia feels? There are two area businesses that have their sights set on your sense of whimsy.

One is a burrito joint and the other is a vintage movie theater.

Let’s start with burritos! Phat Burrito, to the dismay of many, shut down in 2019 after a 21 year run. It was a South End staple. And now it’s softly open at 3543 Dewitt Street in Lower South End.

Feeling even more retro is the reimagining of Belmont Drive-In.

An exact date hasn’t been announced. The drive-in’s owners plan to show movies on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
