The Clear the Shelters event is all set to go for this Saturday at Animal Care and Control at 8315 Byrum Drive from 11-5.

The shelter has been over capacity for most of 2023 and the numbers have been climbing every week. This is the biggest adoption event of the year and we are supporting the efforts and trying to help spread the word.

Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement hosted its biggest event of the year this past weekend and saved the lives of 45 cats and dogs.

Now it’s Mecklenburg County’s turn.

Come on out Saturday as adoption fees are waived. Plenty of vendors will be on site! In addition, the adoption package includes up-to-date vaccines, microchipping and registration, spay or neuter surgery, pet license smart tag, 4 weeks of Good Pup virtual dog training, deworming and heartworm test and $100 medical voucher for Animal Medical Hospital.
