Everything feels a litlle more turkey than usual with the short work week and the holiday on Thursday. Here’s some options whether you feel like taking your family or avoiding them. That’s your call.

Monday has the Hornets back in action hosting the Boston Celtics.Tickets are extremely affordable on Ticketmaster. Game time’s 7pm.

Tuesday has Town Brewing in Wesley Heights offering their own version of Friendsgiving. It’s a $40 ticket that gets you a Thanksgiving dinner type spread hosted by DishCourse, a social group aimed at helping people make connections and meet new potential friends.

Wednesday brings the opening of Camp North Pole which is the first night for Camp North End’s new ice skating rink, which will run through the winter. Hours and dates vary.

The night before Thanksgiving gives us the 77th Annual Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade. It’ll make its way with floats and fun across Uptown starting on Tryon Street at 5:45 pm.

As for Thursday itself, Billy Sunday offers “Eat, Gay, Love” which is their fifth annual free Thanksgiving dinner for underserved members of the LGBTQIA+ community and anyone looking for a place to celebrate. It’s from 2 to 5pm, tickets are free and available here.

Perhaps a beer after your Thanksgiving dinner is more your thing? South End’s Hi-Wire Brewing is open Thanksgiving night between 5 and 10pm.

If your Friday isn’t already booked with Black Friday plans, it’s the opening day of Olde Mecklenburg Brewery‘s Christmas Market. It’s a Christmas tradition at Charlotte’s oldest brewery that runs weekends through December 17th.

Maybe you’re not done beating yourself up physically with food or emotionally because holidays so Sunday you can pile on when the one-win Panthers travel to Tennessee to play the Titans. Game’s at 1pm. Unless you’d rather put up your Christmas lights.
