Christmas is a week from today so if you’re swamped from too many commitments, overwhelmed by Christmas gift decisions and/or covered in wrapping paper and bows – here are some fun, festive and social things you can do…

Starting today, The Union in Station West kicks off a week of free and family-friendly events taking you up to the big day. Activities include a craft day, Christmas Bingo and photos with Santa.

There’s a more adult vibe if you want to head to Wooden Robot’s The Chamber in NoDa. They’re throwing an Ugly Christmas Sweater party Wednesday. It’s free and it starts at 7pm.

You can even craft some christmas ornaments. (Those don’t necessarily have to be ugly.)

It’s not an inexpensive ticket for sure but Belk Theater has The Nutcracker. Saturday is the last night to experience the holiday classic performed by the Charlotte Ballet and Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

There are performances at 2 and 7pm. Tickets are here.

Need Christmas Eve plans? How about a 1:00 Sunday afternoon where the Panthers host the Green Bay Packers at Bank of America Stadium. They’re coming off their big win this past rainy Sunday so maybe there’s hope?

Tickets start at $40. WBTV Chief Meteorologist Al Conklin predicts a dry day where it will be almost 60 degrees. Liz is already on her way.

Enjoy your Christmas, everyone.
