Take that, “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” the machines are NOT taking over.

Geoffrey, the pink little food-delivery robot that roamed (and occasionally terrorized) the streets of Uptown, will do so no longer.

The robots were named Geoffrey and launched in Charlotte last year.

The city of Charlotte told Channel 9 that they stopped operating in the Queen City in early June. And our hearts are filled with sadness.

In an odd plot twist, they’re not so much defunct as relocated. Perhaps the little robots prefer warmer weather as they’re setting down robot roots in South Florida.

They were operated by the company Tiny Mile whose website now boasts that they’re “Now Serving, Miami Restaurants.”
