This mama and her babies are available through Pits and Giggles!
This pretty little pitty was shot. (Yes you read that right…ðŸ˜) The bullet went through her back leg and then into her front leg, where it struck bone and fractured. Animal Control picked her up and took her straight to the vet. She was cleaned up and casted, and then brought to the shelter for recovery. 😔 But this gorgeous girl didn’t let that get her down. She was healing up, happy as a clam, and enjoying being warm. When it came time for her next round of xrays, they noticed something they didn’t see before. Puppies.
Pits and Giggles took her in and started spoiling her immediately. She was loving all the attention, so she was in no hurry to share. She took soooo long to deliver we named her “Molasses” after the southern saying “Slow as Molasses in January”. We’ve taken to calling her Mo. Short for Molasses, but also “Slow Mo” really fits. 😂
Her bullet wounds have healed perfectly and her next step is weaning her kiddos and then heading in for spay and heartworm treatment. They are currently accepting applications for the Slow Poke Pups, they’ll be able to go to their forever homes on March 9th!
Mama is a lil blue pitty. Daddy is unknown, but appears to have been something very fluffy. These kids are smart, playful, and love cuddles.
Mama Molasses and the Slow Poke Pups will be hosting Puppy Yoga on March 2 (11, 12, & 1pm – tickets are for sale on their website) and will be at Discovery Place’s Dog exhibit on March 3 (11-3)
