The House has approved legislation that could potentially ban TikTok in the U.S.

The bill would require TikTok’s Chinese parent company ByteDance to sell off its U.S. operations, or else face a nationwide ban.

The measure passed with bipartisan support 360-58 and now heads to the Senate.

Even if the bill is signed into law, it would likely face legal challenges that would drag the process out for months or even years.

President Joe Biden has said he supports the bill and will sign it into law.
