Meet Kayla Vega. The Mix 107.9 concert winner performed live on stage with Nickelback at PNC Music Pavilion.
Kayla, the Mooresville resident and local musician, was one of several Mix listeners who won a pair of tickets to Nickebal’s Charlotte tour stop.
But wait, there’s more.
She was then entered into a raffle of ticket winners who would be given the chance to perform the song “Rockstar” (naturally) on stage with Chad Kroger and the band.
Kayla came into our lives during Taste of Charlotte this past Summer.
The Morning Mix with Matt Harris & Friends gave its listeners the opportunity to submit entries into The Mix Singer Showcase – an “American Idol”-ish singing competetion that would end in peforming in front of everbody crowing North Tryon Street.
She graced our website entries with a smashing rendition of Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow” and then killed it on stage.
